Gen Surface – Everyday Care

To maintain the appearance and performance of your Lavistone Gen Surface, we recommend the following steps for routine care:

  1. Promptly remove spills using a dry paper towel to prevent staining or residue buildup.
  2. Clean your Gen Surface with a soft, clean cloth and warm water mixed with a mild dishwashing detergent. Gently wipe down the area to remove any remaining residue or marks.

Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these may damage the surface finish over time.

Treating Stubborn Stains

For stubborn marks, such as dried spills or highly pigmented liquids, follow the steps below using Lavistone’s Cream Cleanser – a stone-safe formula designed specifically for Gen Surface and Lavistone Porcelain:

  1. Gently wipe away any residue using a paper towel.
  2. Apply Lavistone Cream Cleanser directly onto a damp, non-scratch scrub pad and work into a foam lather.
  3. Using light, circular motions, gently scrub the affected area. Avoid applying excessive pressure to protect the surface finish.
  4. Wipe away any remaining product with a clean, damp cloth to remove residue and restore the surface.

Repeat as needed for more persistent stains. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools, which may damage the surface.

Grease Stains

For oily or greasy spills, follow these steps to maintain your Lavistone Gen Surface:

  1. Wipe away excess grease using a paper towel.
  2. Clean the area with warm, soapy water and a clean, soft cloth to lift any remaining residue.
  3. Rinse or wipe the surface with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly with a paper towel or dry cloth to remove any soap residue.

Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools, which may damage the surface.

Note on Matt Finish
On Matt surfaces, grease or oil marks may appear more noticeable, as they can temporarily create a glossy appearance in contrast to the low-sheen finish. This is a surface-level effect only. Once the area is properly degreased, the original matt appearance will be fully restored.
